|Panchamukhi Anjaneya Swamy Temple is a highly revered shrine, situated on the banks of the Tungabhadra River, near Mantralaya. The highlight here is a five-faced idol of Lord Hanuman. According to legends, it is the spot where Sri Raghavendra Swamy performed penance for 12 years in a cave. As a result, Lord Panchamukhi – an incarnation of Lord Hanuman amalgamating within him the avatars of Varaha, Garuda, Anjaneya, Narasimha and Hayagreeva – appeared before him. |
The journey from Mantralaya in an auto rikshaw was horrible, bone breaking as the road was bad. As the bridge was under construction, vehicles had to go through water level make shift bridge.
The sad part is that Government is hardly doing anything to improve roads or villages
