Sage Valmiki with SriRama, LavaKusha
Brahmanas as comedy group
Yakshagana is Dance Ballet with Dance, Heavy costumes, acting, dialogues and singing with accompaniments.

Lava-Kusha is story from Ramayana when SriRamachandra sends his brother Shatrughna and others with a horse to perform "AshvaMedha Yaaga" , This horse was tied up by Kusha, who was learning with his brother Lava and other brahmin vatus in great Sage Valmiki's Ashrama.

Lava and Kusha display great valour and courage in the battle with SriRama's subordinates and the army and kills them. Sri Rama was surprised by the great performance of the boys, and comes to find out about LavaKusha. In the ensuing dialogues, he finds out that they are his children born in Valmiki's Ashrama. SriRama;s wife Sita was sent to forest when she was pregnant and gave birth to Lava and Kusha, who became great worriers after getting training from Sage Valmiki.

The presentation of the story, dialogues, VeshaBhushana (Costume), singing (Bhagavatharu) accompanying Chande and Mridanga were simply Superb. The acting by Sudhindra Holla as SriRama, Prashanth Shetty and Manju Havyaka as Lava and Kusha deserves special commendation. It is possible to give such a performance only with years of training and dedication to the art.

The three and half hours of Yakshagaana was worth watching and lingers in mind even after the show is over. The comedy by Brahmin Vatus and the messenger was also good.
