It was a family get-together for remembering son Rishikanth's BirthDay.

We used to celebrate his BirthDays every year in Dubai, with family and friends at home, with fun, games, dance and good food.

Now, the boy is grown, get-together is on the pretext of  BirthDay.

We, the family, met at restaurant Uki, at Jayanagara, Bengaluru for lunch.

The dishes were different from the usual paratha, roti and rice etc.

However we had good time and all proceeded to their homes after lunch.

Before attending beegara outhana and grand lunch at AnanthaRao's house at Nandanavana, we the six, visited ChampakaDhamaSwamy temple at BanneraGhatta.

It's about 25 km from Bengaluru and takes lot of time due to traffic.

ChampakaDhama Swamy Temple is one of the oldest temples in Bengaluru, believed to be built during Hoysala period, in 12th century.

The temple deity is ChampakaDhama (Incarnation of Lord Vishnu), along with Goddesses Lakshmi and Bhoodevi.

It's near BanneraGhatta National Park, and one can combine the visit to park and the temple.

Behind the temple, on the rocky hills, the re is beautiful, recently renovated   Lakshmi Narasimha Temple. There are about 75-80 steps to climb the hill and it is very pleasant and comfortable with picturesque view of BanneraGhatta.

It was a pleasant visit to the place and the darshan of deities.

After wedding lunch, we decided to visit Chamundi Hills and Chamundeshwari Temple, which is at a distance of 12 km from center of Mysuru City. It's about 3300 ft above and can be reached by car or by climbing steps. We were six in the car, Sujatha, her daughter Dr Smitha, Vijaya and her husband Ramachandra and Nalini and myself (driver)

We reached there by 3 pm and had to wait half an hour as temple opens at 3.30 pm after lunch hours and there was small rush, it took half hour to have darshan of Deity Chamundeshwari.

On the way back, we visited Nandi, and left from Mysuru at 4.30pm to Bengaluru.
