Sunday 15th October 2017
TaralaBalu Kendra. R T Nagara, NammBengaluru/

The Kannada Drama was organized by Shivarama Karantha Vedike, R T Nagara, as part of 116th Birthday of Dr Kota Shivarama Karantha .

The 90-minute play was presented by DRAMATRIX group of stage enthusiasts.

It is about the life and plays presented by Master Hirannayya, celebrity stage artist. over the years. He was famous as DATTU in his plays, like Lanchavathara, NaduBeediya Narayana, Naajukayya,  etc.

KALAVIDARU
The play presented shows the continuation of Dattu phenomenon for benefit of audience.

It is comedy with political satire, giving punches to present day politicians.

The glimpse of his play, his life as Gubbi Veeranna Company, his difficulties etc are brought on stage.

Since it is mostly dialogues centered and not much of action scenes.
Mr P C Chadaga congratulating the artists
It was a good presentation on stage.

MAHAA MAAYI - KANNADA DRAMA

Sunday 8th October 2017
TaralaBalu Kendra, R T Nagara, NammaBengaluru.

KALAVIDARU with Kappanna
That was an excellent presentation of 150-minutes play by Alvas Shikshana Prathistana, Moodbidri, and Alvas Ranga Adhyayana Kendra at TaralaBalu Kendra, R T Nagara.

Director JeevanRam Sullia

Dr ChandraShekara Kambara, writer of the play and JeevanRam Sullia was the director, costume, music, lighting, stage decor and stage logistics. The presentation was very powerful with no time wasted between the scenes, lighting and music well coordinated.

Scenes from the play
The story line is about the conflict between life and death. We all live in the shadow of death.

The urge of the human being to live without the fear of death, to live with his own ambition and aspiration is powerfully portrayed by the Play "MAHHA MAAYI"

RajaKumari and PushpaGandhi

The Goddess of Death, appearing as mother Shatavi, old woman, Shiva and Garuda bird, tried to control the lives of MahaaMaayi's adopted son SanjeevaShiva (Doctor) and the Princess (suffering from a serious ailment) who are in love.

The determination and the effort of the couple between life and death, and eventually the Goddess of Death loses in the struggle is highlight of the climax.

The 103rd presentation of the play is not only the story, but songs, dances of the artists, special lighting effect and stage setting for different scenes is simply mesmerizing.

The Director of the play, JeevanRam Sullia is a highly talented and creative, trained the artists with excellent expression, clarity of dialogues and movements on stage.

Congratulations to the Director and all the artists who performed so well.
