AYUDHA POOJA - HONGIRANA SCHOOL

WITH SHOBHA AND NALINI
We were at HONGIRANA SCHOOL OF EXCELLENCE, near SAGAR, on a visit. That day happened to be Maha Navami and the school was performing Ayudha Pooja for 14 buses and other vehicles and equipments.

As Shobha, my niece, is the head and CEO of the school, my car HYUNDAI SANTRO was washed and kept for Pooja.
The buses, cars and motor bikes were washed, decorated with flowers, pooja was performed by Purohit.
K G Nagesh Rao, Shobha's uncle was present and was actively helping pooja ceremonies.

FLEET OF BUSES
Ayudha Puja is an integral part of the Navratri festival (festival of triumph), a Hindu festival which is traditionally celebrated in India. It is also called "Astra Puja", the synonym for Ayudha Puja. In simple terms, it means “Worship of Implements”.
The principal Shakti goddesses worshiped during the Ayudha puja are Saraswati (the Goddess of wisdom, arts and literature), Lakshmi (the goddess of wealth) and Parvati (the divine mother), apart from various types of equipment.
POOJA PERFORMED
On the ninth day of Navaratri, i.e. the Mahanavami day, vehicles, books and all equipments are ceremoniously kept in front of the Goddess Sarasvati and pooja is conducted by purohit and the elders.

PROCESSION
It was a very auspicious occasion, and after the pooja, vehicles were taken for a procession for short spin.
