The program started at 4.15 pm after some Uppittu, Kesaribath, Coffe/Tea.
Mrs Manju Bhargavi did the invocation and Mrs Indira Sharan was the compere of the program.

After welcome and introduction of the guests from Pa. ChandraShekara Chadaga, three lectures were presented.

First, it was Sri Girish Kasaravally, noted film director, spoke about the Karantha's contribution to film world, in those days of no sound movies. He was concerned about the present days mass movies where only entertainment but no clear message to the society.
Dr Vijaya Subbaraj, spoke about Karantha's works on "Geetha Gayana", compared with Pu. Thi .Narasimhachar.
K. RajaKumar, also writer, spoke at length about Karantha as a person and his personality.

There was dance program "Sri Krishna Sandhana" by students and Drama "Pukkate Salahe", written by M DundiRaj.
