TEMPLES VISIT - DEVANAHALLI

DEVANAHALLI, BENGALURU

Devanahalli village is about 40 km north east of Bengaluru. Before the Kempe Gowda International Airport at Devanahalli was established, the village was famous for some old temples, many of them are rejuvenated now and worth visiting.

1, VenugopalaSwamy Temple: Dedicated  to Lord Vishnu and located in side the fort. It is constructed in Dravidian Style during Vijayanagara Empire period. (1300 - 1600 AD)










2. Nanjundeshwara Temple:






A small shiva temple located little inside the main road and been recently renovated.




3. Raghavendra Swamy Temple: Old temple, situated on the main road, few people visit the place offer pooja and Darshan.




4. Chamundeshwara Temple - also situated along the main road and been renovated recently, clean and neat.









5. Hanuman Temple - Huge idol of Anjaneya attracts people and is well maintained and people enjoy the premises.



Nalini's sister Vijayalaskhmi was there with us and we spend around good 3 hours going around.
