"PHOTO" - Kannada Movie about a 10 year old boy "DURGYA" in a remote village of Raichur, sees the Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru Photo in his classroom and is obsessed with seeing the same immediately.
The father is mason, poor daily worker, seeing the son's adamant obsession of VidhanaSoudha, decides to travel to Bengaluru, reaches and starts working in a construction company.
At the same time, Corona lockdown came and all things came to standstiill, no work, father and son decides to go back to village, but no transport.
They decide to walk the long way, miles together, the boy falling sick, father carrying him, searching for food and water and undergoes terrific hardships.
Finally, the boy dies due to Corona and cries of mother and the villagers were pathetic.
Utsav Gonwar, Writer, producer and director, has done a good job, super direction, bringing out the sesnsitivity and woes of poor people during COVID, and people are not even sympathetic.
Veeresh Gonwar as Durgya (Boy) and Mahadev Hadapad (Father) as Gyanappa have superb acting.
The Covid 19 lockdown created new perspectives of the world for many. Some got closer to their families — cooking, eating and watching movies together. Others saw their families being torn apart. Photo follows the story of a family devastated by the insensitive decision taken by the political leaders.
