That was a community celebration of Onam Festival at the i-Life Apartment Complex, where Rishi,Kavitha and their son Atharv lives.
Onam is an annual Hindu festival in Kerala, India, celebrating the legendary King Mahabali's homecoming and the harvest season. Celebrated for 10 days, it features feasts, boat races, flower carpets, and cultural dances. The festival symbolizes the land's prosperity and brings people together in a spirit of unity and joy.
There was "POOKALAM" flower decoration presented by the ladies, and beautifully dressed men and women with excitment, dancing and marching to the sound of drums, lead by MAHABALI (Atharv Somayaji)
There was dance performance by children, Ladies, all well drssed in Malayalee costume putting steps to beautiful song.

The celebration followed by special Onam Feast "ONASADYA" meal served on Banana Leaf, with many varieties, including paayasa.
We were back home by 4 pm.
