Engagement is the first confirmation of wedding of a girl / boy and girl's parents and boy's parents. After couple of rounds of talks, date and venue is fixed for the engagement program.
Such an occasion was for Smitha, daughter of Nalini's sister at Udyavara and Raghavendr, son of Rajaram rao, who lives in Bengaluru. Number of relations and friends about 150 of them arrived at the residence of the girl's parents at Udyavara, A spacious home with a big open yard and with coconut trees around the house and the flowering plants.
Seniors from both the sides, along with priests (purohit) sat around, agreed and confirmed the date and venue of wedding ceremony (21st May 2017) at Bhandarakeri Mutt at car street in Udupi town.
Fruits and flowers were exchanged with copy of hand written wedding invitation.
Rings were exchanged between the boy and the girl, both were happy for their future.
A sumptuous tiffin was organized with kadubu, mysore pak, bonda, and many other items.
The boys party left after some photo shoots.
