ನಮ್ಮ ಮೊಮ್ಮಗ ಸ್ಕಂದ ಭಟ್ಟನ  ಉಪನಯನವನ್ನು ದಿನಾಂಕ 03-ಮೇ-2026, ಭಾನುವಾರ  ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಪದ್ಮನಾಭ ನಗರದ ಶ್ರೀ ಪ್ರಸನ್ನ ಗಣಪತಿ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಡೆಸಲು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಕುಟುಂಬ ಸಮೇತರಾಗಿ ಬಂದು ವಟುವನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಬೇಕಾಗಿ ಕೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇವೆ.

We were there for the above program, on the invitation of Umesh Bhat, Chikkappa of son-in- law Raghavendra Bhat (Daughter Shubha's Husaband).

Many relatives, well wishers and friends gathered to wish new VATU (Brahmachari).

Followed by grand lunch with 2/3 sweets and paayasa.

We left from the place after lunch.

Since we reached little late, procedure of Brahmopadesha was over and we had meeting with relatives and wellwishers.

Seven sonsof Late Handadi Srinivasa Bhat, lived and worked in Vijayawada, and has close links with relatives.

There was also beautiful complimets to us, Saree, Panche and Shirt.

As usual, there was grand lunch with 4 sweets, Badam Burfi, Holige, Jilebi and Untina Laddu, along with other vareities.

UPANAYANA/BRAHMOPADEHA - OMKARA ADIGA

NandaGokula Sabhangana, Girinagara, Bengaluru.

Omkara, s/o Aarthi and Vishweshwara Adiga, who were close friends from our Dubai years, celebrating UPANAYANA, relatives, friends and wellwishers.

Well wishers from Dubai and Ooru also came to attend the Ceremony.

There was lot talking amongst the old friends, who lost contact, now regaining with vigour and happiness.

The traditional, vedic Upanayana ceremony was conducted by professional purohits, with advise and importance of Upanayana for about half an hour.

More photos clicked with friends who meet occasionally.

As tradition, the VATU, now Brahmachari is carried by mother, made to sit on the AKKIMUDI.

As usual in such grand ocassion, there Feast for more tha three hundred people, who attended the ceremony. Holige, Banana buerfi, paayasa. fruit salad were special items.

We wish the Vatu Omkara and his parents God's Blessiong, Long life and Health and Happiness.

BRAHMOPADESHA - ABHINAV

Sri AnanthaPadmanabha Devara Sannidhi, Hebri.

That was Upanayana celebration of S/O Venkataraja Acharya (Babanna), who is s/o Srikanth Acharya (Hebri).

As I have close relation with Hebri family, we travelled with Shubha, Raghu in his car To Hebri, the previous day.

There was "AASHEERVACHANA" for the new "Brahmachari" Abhinav by Udupi Pejavara Mutt  Sripadaru Vishwashwara Thirtha Swamiji.

It was also an ocassion to see and meet large number of relatives, friends and well wishers. Age is factor, since yougsters have become parents, elders have become old.

As usual grand lunch followed with sweets like holige, badam burfi, paayasa.

Upanayana (Brahmopadesha) is thread ceremony consisting of three cords tied together with a knot, signifying strength, long life and enlightenment. It symbolizes "BRAHMACHARI" should lead regulated life with purity in thought, word and deed.

TARUN UPANAYANA (BRAHMOPADESHA)

Tarun is s/o of Lavanya/Manoj Maiyya, who is daughter Jayalakshmi, daughter of my sister Late Bhagirathi (Baabi)/ Late Ramachandra Bhat of Maayagundi, Puttoru, Udupi.

We along with Rishi Kavitha and Atharv were returning to Bangalore, from ooru and stopped over at Panambooru to attend the function.

We enjoyed grand lunch with 2/3/ sweets as usual.

It was a pleasant get-together of relatives and well-wishers.

Wish the VATU "Tarun" God's Blessings and Long Life.

We returned to Bangalore by 11 pm the same after leaving from Panambooru at 3 pm.
