CHANDIKA HOMA AT MUNDKURU DEVI TEMPLE

 Friday, 4th April 2025

Sri DurgaParameshwari Temple, Mundkuru, Udupi Dist.

Along the Sambhavi river coast, an ancient and beautiful Sri Durga Parameshwari Temple at Mundkuru, which is thousands of years old.


Vidya and Prakash Vailaya, close relative, lives in Gadag and performs Chandika Homa for Sri DurgaParameshwari Temple at Mundkuru.




for which we decided to attend, starting early from Bengaluru with Ramakrishna and Santhosh.


We reached 12.45 pm at the Temple, had the Darshan of Devi, and joined family performing Chandika Homa.







There was grand lunch at the Temple premises with Holige, Laddu and Paayasa etc with other usual items.


God Bless the family with Good Health, Wealth and Happiness.

ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಬಲಿ - ಚಂಡಿಕಾ ಹೋಮ - ಪಡುಗರಡಿ ದೇವಿ

ಪಡುಗರಡಿ, ವಾರಂಬಳ್ಳಿ ಗ್ರಾಮ, ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾವರ.

ವರ್ಷಂಪ್ರತಿ ವಾಡಿಕೆಯಂತೆ ನಡೆಯುವ ಶ್ರೀ ಚಂಡಿಕಾ ದುರ್ಗಾ ಪರಮೇಶ್ವರಿ ದೇವಿಗೆ, ಪಡುಗರಡಿ, ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾವರ  ಚಂಡಿಕಾ ಹೋಮ, ಅನ್ನ ಸಂತರ್ಪಣೆ (ಊಟ) ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಜೆ ಡಕ್ಕೆ ಬಲಿಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ವಿಜ್ಜಂಬ್ರಣೆಯಿಂದ ನಡೆಯಿತು.





ಪುರೋಹಿತರಿಂದ ಮಂತ್ರಾಕ್ಷತೆ 


ಸಂಜೆಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ - ದೇವಿಗೆ ಪೂಜೆಯ ನಂತರ ಡಕ್ಕೆಬಲಿ,  ನಾಗಾರಾಧನೆ. ಸುಮಾರು ಒಂದು ಗಂಟೆಯ ಕಾಲ ನಡೆಯಿತು.
ಲೀಲಾ ಸೋಮಯಾಜಿ, ಮಂಜುಳಕ್ಕ, ನಳಿನಿ ಸೋಮಯಾಜಿ 

ಡಕ್ಕೆಬಲಿ - ನಾಗಾರಾಧನೆ ( snake worship) - ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಮತ್ತು ಗಂಡು  ಸರ್ಪಗಳ ಆಟ, ನೃತ್ಯ, ಹಾಡು, ವಿರಸ, ಮತ್ತೆ ಒಂದಾಗುವಿಕೆ.... 


ಇದರ ನೃತ್ಯ, ಹಾಡು, ಕುಣಿತವನ್ನು ವೈದ್ಯ ಕುಟುಂಬವು ನೆರವೇರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಆಕರ್ಷನೆಗೊಂಡ ದರ್ಶಿನ ಪಾತ್ರಿಯು ಹೆಣ್ಣು ನಾಗವೂ, ಡಮರು ವಿನೊಡನೆ ನರ್ತಿಸುವ ವೈದ್ಯರು, ನಾಗಕನ್ನಿಕೆಯಾಗಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ.. 


ನಾಗಾರಾಧನೆಯು ಪ್ರುಕ್ರತಿ - ಪುರುಷ ಎಂಬ ಹೋಲಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ತುಳುನಾಡ ಜನರು ಆರಾಧಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.


ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಶುಭವಾಗಲಿ.
ಸರ್ವೇ ಜನಃ ಸುಖಿನೋ ಭವಂತು.

WEDDING ANNIVERSARY - SATISH MALATHI

Gorelu, Near Perdooru, Udupi

Satish Rao, Mom's younger brother was celebrationg his 25th Wedding Aniversary with wife Malathi, sons Aruna,Aditya, sisters Nalini, Vijaya, Sujatha and the family and relatives.



To celebrate the ocassion, he arranged Chandika Homa to Godess UmaMaheshwari Gudi at Gorelu, near Perdooru.



That was a divine and sacred pooja and homa, performed by 5 purohits with lot of offering to The Godess.


Mom went to Udupi on the previous day by bus, and I stayed behind to attend the Sapta Swara Aaaraadhana Mahotsava of Vidwan Moodnuru Raghuram.




Mom returned to Bengaluru on Monday afternoon by bus via Hunsur, Mysuru.


Satish Rao is hardworking, successful entreprenuer, running a mess (Meals)  in Hunsur.


Happy Happy Wedding Anniversary to Satish -Malathi.

GANA HOMA @ RAMACHANDRA SOMAYAJI

Ramachandra Somayaji, cousin brother performed "GANA HOMA" pooja at his home in Sahakaranagara, with many relatives and well wishers invited.



Mangalarathi and Poornaahuthi was performed.


Grand lunch followed with Holige and burfi with other ususal items, followed by takeaway sweets.

TULASI POOJA

Utthana Ekadasi, also known as Prabodhini Ekadasi or Devotthan Ekadasi, holds great significance in Vedic culture. 1. It marks the end of the Chaturmasa period, during which Lord Vishnu is believed to rest. Observing this fast is considered auspicious and brings numerous spiritual benefits.



Celebrated the day after Devuthani Ekadashi, Tulsi Vivah also marks the end of the monsoon season and the beginning of the auspicious wedding season. Couples and those seeking marriage often perform this ritual to receive blessings for a joyful and prosperous married life.




Tulasi plant along with Bettada Nelli plant was placed in the pot, symbolizing marriage of Tulasi (Lakshmi) with Lord Vishnu.


Nalini's sister Sujatha from Udyavara, Udupi was here to travel to Chennai, next morning, she also joined the celebration.


After the pooja, some crackers, Nakshtra Kaddi was lighted.
