DEEPAVALI SAMBHRAMA 2024

BirthiMane, Bhuvaneshwarinagaraa, Bengaluru.

"Festival of  Lights" comes once a year, around the month of October / November.

We at Birthimane, it was family together, with 

Ravi, Vidya, and  daughter Urvi ( 3 years 6 Months)

Rishi, Kavitha and  son Atharv (3 Years 7 months)

Morning we had Abhyanga Snana (Bath) and Pooja, and breakfast prepared by Mom, with Dosa, Avalakki Panchakajjaya, Laddu and Coffee.

With new dress , we all moved to the house Terrace, to burst some crackers.

We bought some sur sur kaddi (Nakshatra Kaddi), flower kunda, and nela chakra.

Spent some time enjoyed.

Mom cooked Kadubu, Pathrode, Rice, SouthKai Sambar. and Curd.

Afternoon, all rested for a while and in the evening "LAKHMI POOJA" Decoration and lighting the lamps.

Later again went down to burst some more crackers.

Both sons with their family left for their homes in their cars.

DEEPAVALI 2023 - BIRTHIMANE

DEEPAVALI - Festival of Lights comes once in a year,

It[s three festival, Naraka Chaturdashi, Deepavali, Lakshmi Pooja, GoPooja etcetc

Early morning oil bath (Abhyanga Snana), crackars, new clothes etc etc...

It is also to celebrate good over the evil, Dharama over Adharama, .

Ravi, Vidya and Urvi were at home.

We lighted Diya, crackers were burst (Flower pot, Nela chakra, Nakshatta Kaddi)

As we were there in the evening of Depavali at Birthi, Salekeri, we all lighted candle/diya with newly weds ShamaAbhijith, Abhilasha and Anisha.

Deepavali Celebrations continue...

Rishi, Kavitha, Atharv and Seenu came in the afternoon.

Had lunch, music, fun and fire crackers at the terrace.

They left for a party in the evening at Mouna and Sham

That was a day to remember.

DEEPAVALI (2022) SAMBRAMA - 1

That was celebrations for another Festival, Festival of Lights....DEEPAVALI 

Lights, Crackers and Greetings all over...

Celebrations begin with morning ABHYANGA SNANA.... 

As we were only two (me and wife Nalini) at home, (unlike in the previous years)  we had oil massage on the body.

Next was normal pooja  and  special breakfast, panchakajjaya and dosa.

Ravi. Vidya and Urvi came, had crackers, Nakshatra Kaddi, Nela chakra and Flower kunda.

Shubha, Raghu, Lahari and Chaidambara Bhat,Shrimathi (Raghu's parents) came for

Deepavali lunch prepared by Mom and Ravi.

There was Special Rice (Chitranna), Kosambari, Mosaru Bajji, Beetroot Salad, Fried Paneer, (Starter), Coconut Sambar, Mosaru, Happala, Nendra Banana Sweet.

After lunch, some time spent chit-chatting, playing with Urvi....

All left by 4.30pm and then in the evening, Lakshmi Pooja decoration... 

That was Deepavali Celbrations for the day.
