Cafe Amudham, KammanaHalli, Bengaluru

Along KammanaHalli main road, amongst other eating outlets, there is decent restaurant named 'CAFE AMUDHAM".

We were there at lunch time (Mom, Rishi and myself) and took south indian thaali, Rishi opted Thatte Idli, Shyavige and mom idli and coffee.

Food was not bad and ambiance was good and self service.

Highway Hassan- Nalamangala.

About 120 km from Bengaluru, at Hiresave, on the Highway,  there is a nice restaurant where we (Me, Mom, Rishi, Kavitha & Atharv) had lunch o the way back from Hongirana, Sagara.

Food was good as I had South Indian Thali, roti, curry and Ghee rice etc....

Back home by 5.30pm,

Bengaluru Cafe, Sampige Road, Malleshwara, Bengaluru

After some shopping at Malleshwara, we proceeded to tha market-like restaurant, Bengaluru Cafe,

It was 8 pm, crowded as usual, difficult to find space to sit, people throng to the place in view of tasty dishes and causual ambiance..

It was dose, puliyogare and Coffee was our choice. In spite of large number of customers waiting for their orders, quality of item was good.

It is amazing how some food outlet get the attention of people and they rush there as if free food is given. But the prices of the items are reasonable.

DHRUVA THARE - RESTAURANT

Hassan - Nelamangala Highway.

Returning from Ngamangala after the Temple Run, we stopped over at DHRUVA TARE  huge restaurant on the Highway.

Raghu and myself had lunch and others had idli, as poori was not there due to shortage of gas.

It was about one and half drive to Bengaluru Home and returned by 5 pm.

Galleria Mall, Yalahanka, Bengaluru.

After me watching DURANDHAR -2 movie, and Mom watching 'LOVE MOCKTAIL - 3",  we relaxed at the food court, eating some chats at BRAHMIN'S KHADYA.

We ate Paani-Poori, Samosa, and SevPoori and drank Coffee.  It was not very tasty, however, it was okay.

1947 Restaurant, Malleshwara.

Supriya (D/O Vijalakshmi Ramachandra Bhat ) with her husband Prem Kumar and kids Avyaan and Aroosh were home for visit 

We were out for lunch at 1947 Restaurant and had differnt dishes along with soup.

Also we had roti, curries.  ice cream, pulav, curd rice...

Nice time spent over lunch, having fun and issues with kids.

Back home by 4 pm after litle shopping around.

MADDURU TIFFANYS - RESTAURANT

Madduru, Karnataka

On the way to Mysuru, 90 Km from Bengaluru, you srop over at a place called Madduru, at "MADDURU TIFFANY'S",  for very tasty, Maddur Vade.

That crispy, flaky south Indian snack.

Almost everyone, on the way to Mysuru, stops over at this place, to taste some Vade, made of Rava, Rice flour, Onion, green chillies, curry leaves, coriandor leaves, ginger, salt, made into paste and deep fried.

Well decorated interiors, ample space for parking and polite and smiling hostess are positive features of the restaurant.

Spent about half hour and proceeded to Mysuru.

EVENING SNACKS - HOTEL UTSAV

Hotel Utsav, Bhuvaneshwarinagara, Bengaluru.

It was a casual evening, we visted Grama Deavathe, Sai Temple and LakshmiVenkatesha Temple at AmruthaHalli, and on the way back, thought why cann't we go to Hotel Utsav and have some Dosa and Paani Puri.

So there we were at the hotel, ordered Pani Puri, Masala and Plain Dosa and Coffee.

Our Seena, pet, waiting in the car, packed idli for him, after coffee, returned home.

GURU CANTEEN - HAALAADI

Haalaadi, along Kundapura - Someshwara Highway

Haalaadi is about 35 Km from Udupi via Barkuru, BijakalKatte, and there is a small canteen "GURU CANTEEN" (NAMMOORA DOSE) , run by a brahmin family Subramanya Holla, his wife and son Ganesha.

The man himself prepares Benne Masale Dosa, Benne Dosa and saadaa dosa, wife prepares beautiful coffee, and son serves customers.

My sister Bhagirathi's (Baabi) son Krishnamoorthy Bhat from Mayagundi, Putturu, took us in his car to the place , we enjoyed the two Benne Masale Dose and coffee.

One simple caption on the wall "No service in a hurry" (ಅವಸರದ ಸೇವೆ ಇಲ್ಲ), attracted and ony for those who come there to relax and enjoy the tasty dose.

Thank you Krishnamoorthy (affectionately we call him Kittu, Kittanna) for taking us and made us to enjoy the taste of special DOSE.
