Vijeta is son of Shobha Ravindra, who is the daughter of my brother Padmanabha Somayaji.
She is CEO and Head of self established school "HONGIRANA" at AmateKoppa, near Sagara.
Wedding of Vijeta with Aishwarya, d/o RajeevGayatri was fixed at Chikkammaniketana at Mysuru.
We went to Mysuru by train on Thursday morning, stayed at our friend UshaSureshCukkemane.
On Thursday evening, there was get-together, socializing and dinner.
Next day morning, after breakfast, there was a simple wedding procedure with a book written by K. V Puttappa (KUVEMPU), called 'MANTRA MANGALYA"
Relatives and well wishers of both parties sit on the dais, the boy and the girl stands on the centre of Mantapa decorated with flowers, photos of Ramakrishna ParamaHamsa, a senior gentleman reads some slokas from the book, the boy repeats and girl recites the meaning.
They exchange garlands, rings, ties the Mangalya, and receive blessings from the seniors.
It was something different from traditional wedding, where a purohit (priest) conducts the wedding procedure with exchange of garlands, KanyaDana, MangalyaDharana, Homa and SaptaPadi.
Guests attending the function come to dais and wish the couple Happy Married Life and proceed for grand lunch at the dining hall.
Networking and socializing continues and the people leave for their homes.
We returned to Bengaluru with Dinesh Kumar in his car, was a pleasant drive.
