September 2018 Program of Shivarama Karantha Vedike was organized for paying tribute to distinguished personalities who passed away recently.
Prof. Giraddi GovindaRaju - Poet, writer and a straightforward person, passed away recently at the age of 82 years. Prof. ChandraShekhara Patil, (Champa) spoke about him as he has seen him from close quarters and as a friend. His association with him, interaction, difference of opinion in some areas etc spoke well.

Atal Bihari Vajapayee - Poet, former parliament member, foreign minister, Prime Minister who passed away recently at the age of 92 years. Prof. Ganesh Yaji paid tribute to him in his speech. Vajapayee was more a poet than a politician, born in Uttar Pradesh near Agra, joined RSS in early years, made himself into selfless service of the nation and then later became RSS karyakarta and Pracharak. Also went to jail during emergency rule, but later became PrimeMinister.

Prof. Sumathindra Nadig - Passed away recently, writer, poet and philosopher. Sri B V Kedilaya spoke about him with quotes from his book and poems from his writings.
