Scene from the play

Mruthyunjaya - Kannada Drama by Natana Mysore, based on Niranjana's novel on farmers' revolution in the time of Pharaohs in Egypt.

The play was well presented, with costumes, ways of Egyptian pharaoh, Mahaprabhu, Mahamantri and Rajaguru, being carried by four men, the dialogues are very absorbing. Those monarch cannot accept any changes or people who revolt are summarily executed so that the remaining people remain loyal and obedient. They had no choice.
The leader of farmers revolt was invited to Pharaoh's court, he disappears and the accompanying people were sent back.
The play ends with a message " From the darkness to Light"......
