"ಜತೆಗಿರುವನು ಚಂದಿರ"- ಕನ್ನಡ ನಾಟಕ. (Jathegiruvanu Chandira)

One of the good plays seen in recent days is "Jathegiruvanu Chandira"  presented at Prabhath RangaMandira, BasaveshwaraNagara, NammaBengaluru on 12th March 2016.

The story, dialogues, stage settings, music and lighting were very good and the team of artists did an excellent job of presenting the story with acting, songs and expressions. The lead role played by Venkatesh Bharadhwaj is excellent actor while presenting sensitivities and the theme of the play. Poverty, love, affection, difficulties, pathos, humour etc all are brought out effectively in the drama.

The story centers on Bademiya, a bakery owner and worker with three daughters who attempts to make both ends meet without compromising on religious and cultural traditions. This character is of a sound personality trying to cope up with the wavering situations by tolerance. The familys recital is the highlight of the play.
On the country's lines of freedom progression and on the backgrounds of war, partition, development, holocaust, migration, the author has made an earnest attempt to depict these incidents. These circumstances in the north India had an effect on the southern coast as well and this impact is the focus of the play.
