CHANDRASHEKHARA ADIGA - HOME VISIT

Chandrashekhara Adiga is son of late Subramanya Adiga, who was living in Ajekar, Karkala Taluk, was a good friend of my brother late B P Somayaji.

It was due to Subramnya Adiga's initiative I got married to Nalini in 11th Sept.1980

Chandrashekahara Adiga had been working as teacher, retired and had been some health issues and is resting in his son's apartment.

Also he had been friends to Nalini during childhood days in Udyavara.

That day, after grand oota at Chowki of SriKrishna Mutt, we visited his place and spend some time, remebering and catching up with happenings.

VISTADOME JOURNEY

Train Journey

VISTADOME is the newest addition to the Indian Railways.

It is special coach attached to the Mangalore - Bangalore train or return journey.

Travelling made luxurious and very comfortable.

Comfortable seats, capable of rotating by 180 degree, for enhanced viewing experience of the surroundings. It has large transparent glass panes and glass roof top.

The train passes through Western Ghats from Subrmanya to Sakaleshpur, the view is fantastic, hills, bridges, tunnels and greenaries.

The ticket price is high Rs 1385 pax, one way.

There is no food served in the coach as in Shatabdi Express from Bangalore to Chennai.

The tolilet and washrooms are not comfortable, as it is fitted with curved doors.

Anyway, the journey is onetime expreience.

WEDDING : MOHITH-SHREYA

Arthi Ghatikar is writer, humour poems, (HaniKavana) and has been living in Dubai for many years.

She got accolades for short poems, "Ankana" in newspaers on varied interests.

We were invited for her son Mohith's wedding with Shreya in a retreat near the Bengaluru Airport.

It was a wedding in an open area, with guests sitting in the garden, with shamiaana erected.

Nice ambiance, music being played, acuaintences chatting, socializing.

Nice feast was there, after which, we left from the venue.

SOUTHADKA MAHAGANAPATHI TEMPLE - VISIT

Shri MahaGanapathi temple at Suthadka is popularly known as open (Bayalu) Ganapathi.

Southadka is about 22 km from Dharmasthala and 35 km from Kukke Subramanya.

The temple is like in a park, in open space, cool breeze and lot of trees around.

Priests attend to devotees for seva for Mahaganapathi.

Devotees offer bells to Mahaganapathi for divine blessings. Hence we see thousands of bells hanging around the premises.

Spent about an hour, and left from the place.

SRI SADASHIVA RUDRA DEVASTHANA - SURYA

SURYA TEMPLE, NEAR UJIRE

About 5 km from Ujire, little interior, there is an old temple called Sri Sadashiva Rudra Devasthana. It is Shiva temple without Parvthi.

Devotees come to the place with Earthern pot as the offering to God, asking divine favour for all their difficulties in life.

It is believed that these earthern pot would be accepted by Lord Shiva as Bilwa leaf.

We spent about an hour and left from the place.

SHRI KSHETRA DHARMASTHALA - VISIT

Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala, the land righteousness, is one of South India's most renowed religious landmarks with a history of 800 yrs. Lord Manjunathewshwara is the Chief diety of the spiritual abode, has taken the form of Shivlinga and made immaculate.

Shri Kshetra Dhrmasthala is being beseeched by Vaishnava priests and administered by Jain Dedcendents. As the name suggests, the word DHARMA in the truest sense means righteousness, it is the embodiment of world's most divine emotions in spite of one's cast cress and religion.
