A prominent temple located in Gattavadi village, Dodda Kavalande hobli, Nanjangud taluk, Mysuru district, Karnataka. It is famous for housing a massive monolithic statue of Lord Subrahmanyeshwara, drawing local devotees and pilgrims seeking divine blessings.
India’s tallest Lord Subramanyeshwara statue (54-ft) at Gattevadi village under Doddakavalande hobli in Nanjangud taluk. The 18-ft statue of the Snake God will be placed on a 36-ft stone pedestal and the initiative has been taken by Thapobhoomi Trust. (October 2021)
We were at the temple, travelled from Bengaluru in the morning, reaching there at 12 noon, to attend Homa, Pooje function of Shama-Abhijith.
The place is being developed with lot of work going on around.
It is a divine place and lot of devotees will visit in course of time.
