YAKSHAGANA - CHAKRAVYOOHA

Saturday 27th October 2018
Vidyapeetha, Namma Bengaluru.

Chakravyooha is story from Mahabharatha, Hindu Epic.

Pandava, Arjuna's son, Abhimanyu, young and highly energetic and enthusiastic, takes permission from his mother, Subhadra after pleading and begging. Subhadra knew it was a tough war between Kauravas and Pandavas in Kurukshetra.

Subhadra and Abhimanyu
Abhimanyu, with all his strength, energy and power, enters Chakravyooha, a war strategy to surround the enemy forces. Abhimanyu kills many many people. Seeing the ferocity, vigour and power, Karna severs Abhimanyu's hands by cheating. In spite this Abhmanyu continues his fight against Kauravas and finally Drona, Duryodhana and Karna kill this young warrior, Abhimanyu.

The acting, dance and dialogue by Abhimanyu (Vishwanth Manjibail) is simply fantastic. The movements, steps and presentation of character is simply amazing. Never exhausting energy level, enthusiasm and  dialogue delivery with expression, are simply mesmerizing.

It was about two hours Yakshagana, which was very very entertaining and and informative.

It was also last show of 7 Day presentation by Touring Yakshagana Mandali from Haladi, Udupi District.

Sunday, 28th October 2018
Cubbon Park, NammaBengaluru.

It's very pleasant to go to Cubbon Park in the morning. And we frequently go to th park Sundays with our pet Seena, the Beagle dog, for walking around and to meet his dog friends.

So last Sunday we were there for more than one hour, specially in the dog park, and number of people bring their pet dogs for socializing and networking.

Here are some images of different dogs having good times. Some are hyper active, some shy, some ferocious and most of them are friendly.

Lahari was with us and she loves dogs and enjoys their company.

After spending time, we have breakfast at Nisarga Grand on Nrupatunga Road and back home.

The story situation starts with Kamsa King who decides to kill his sister Devaki and her husband Vasudeva because of some Ashareera Vani, (Unknown voice). They both beg Kamsa and promise to bring their children to him. Kamsa kills seven children of Devaki and eight child was Krishna, who was incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Krishna, when he grows up kills Kamsa.

Music Director V Manohar

Krishna lands up in the Kingdom of MrutyaMalini, who was the Queen. Her daughter Lasithe met Krishna and falls in love with him as he was very handsome. The dance sequence of MrutyuMalini and Lasithe was quite long and beautiful with co-ordination of Bhagavatharu and the accompanying Tabla and Chande. Even Krishna's dance and movements were very high energy presentation. One wonders, how they can go on, on, on.... dancing with different steps synchronizing with singing.

It was fantastic.

Lasithe becomes Krishna's one of many wives, when the prasanga ends.
