It's Kannada Comedy Drama organized by Shobha Rai, story written by Rajendra Karanth. The program is sponsored by Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India, for promotion of performing arts, Drama. There was a stage program to honour the dignitaries after which the drama commenced.
It's 75 minutes hilarious play where Muddanna did not get promotion in his office and a colleague got his promotion. Muddannna's wife is a strong women, and he sends her to her parents house and plans a drama with a middle man and a woman acts for money.
The woman comes to Muddanna's house with a middleman, and drama practice with Bhima takes place in the house. The boss who approves promotion comes to the house to see Muddanna's drama wife and his hospitality and sees the acting. In the mean time Muddann's real wife come home and the boss has real confusion to know who was Muddanna's real wife.
In the end the boss understands the ploy by Muddanna and the middleman. Muddanna for all his drama, got suspended and then later dismissed.
It was a perfect comedy where audience burst into laughter for acting of Muddanna, drama wife (enacted by Shobha Rai) and the real wife.
It was a short play and finished very soon.
