Sneha Ramakanth's House, R T Nagara, Bengaluru
During navratri days, it customary is some people's house to decorate and display dolls. These are done every year and new collections are added to already existing dolls.
Kolu (Gollu) are dolls, predominantly displayed with Hindu mythological, purana's text, royal procession, Rathayatra, weddings or everyday scenes. It's occasion for family to get-together and aesthetically display.
Friends and relation visit the place to appreciate and see the display. On the 10th Day, VijayaDashami, one doll and Kalasha is moved to mark the end of that year's Navratro Golu.
Next day, dolls are carefully dismantled and packed and put in a carton for next year's celebrations.
Sneha Ramakanth, Mom's FB friend is highly interested in these traditional activities and takes lot of interest in arranging displaying and also inviting friends.
