His famous MANKU THIMMANA KAGGA (Dull thimma's rigmorale), 945 four line poems on life, learning, events, morals etc....It is regarded as masterpiece of Kannada Literature and it is profound and poetic and can be sung.
Few fans of DVG organized an informal get-together to pay tribute to this great writer of Kannada at Bewgle Rock Park at BasvanaGudi, Bengaluru in the morning. There is a small statue of DVG and garlanding and flower tribute was done by the people present. Little children sang some poems and Sripad Rao Manjunath, a staunch fan of DVG, has in his memory, most of Kagga poems and rendered few of them.
People gathered were requested to go to Mr Venkatraman's House in JayaNagara for breakfast, where people sat and some spoke about their time spent with DVG.
There was also a nice breakfast and coffee, after which people dispersed.
