Ranga Shankara, NammaBengaluru.
Macbeth, William Shakespeare's famous English drama was translated to Kannada by K P Vasudevan and enacted on stage by "Parivarthana Ranga Samaja, Mysuru".
The play is directed by S R Ramesh with a team of 30 artists and support staff.
130 - minutes non-stop play keeps the audience mesmerized as events take place with scene after scene, with perfect dialogues rendered by the artists.
The acting, movements and the expressions of MacBeth and Lady MacBeth played by Ravi Teja and Tejaswini Jois is superb and just too good. It requires special ability and talent to deliver long dialogues with perfect synchronization of facial expressions and acting.
The scenes where Lady MacBeth trying to poison MacBeth for greed of power and the high chair of Scotland is simply fantastic. The killing scenes are not explicit on stage but the ghost movements and their actions were good.
Lighting, stage setting and the backdrop, props are simple and effective.
The play could have been shortened a bit, but it was a good show.
