"AYUDHA PUJE" is part of Navarathri festival, which is performed on the ninth day, MahaNavami day.
It's also called Astra Puje, worship of instruments.The principal Goddesses worshipped during the Ayudha puje are Saraswathi (Goddess of wisdom), Lakshmi (Goddess of wealth) and Parvathi (Divine mother).It is pray for the instruments and vehicles to perform well.
At BirthiMane, we had two cars and a Bullet Bike, were washed in the morning. KumKum and Arashine placed, decorated with flowers, after the incense lighted, aarthi was performed.
Lemons were placed under the wheels for all the vehicles and they were moved to smash the lemons.
