RangaShankara, J P Nagara, Bengaluru.
The purpose of presenting a drama is for entertainment, a good message and education.
It was a complete disappointment when we witnessed this Kannada Drama 'SAAHEBRU BARUTTARE"
It was supposed to a comedy, but there was everything else except comedy.
Dialogues are supposed to be sarcastic, political satire but it was not all effective.
The story is about a very senior central Government Officer (Saahebru) was to come for inspection to a city municipality. The Mayor involves everybody, including his family to get ready for welcoming the Saahebru, clean the city, hospitals and roads.
The "Saahebru" and his assistant were fake and they pretend to be the officers and create all drama.
The Mayor put up all funny things and lashes out unnecessary dialogues to cover up his inefficiency and ineptness. His wife and daughter also create scenes which was not appreciated at all.
It was a boring 110 - minute play, we sat through, paying Rs 300.00, with nothing to appreciate.
It was a heavy traffic on our way back, and it took almost three hours to reach home.
