Dubai Brahmana Samaja has organized SHANI POOJE on ZOOM virtual platform of Friday.
It's amazing.... Effort, dedication and perseverance to present a beautiful program.
It requires lot of co-ordination, contacting people, recording video clips and presenting / streaming without any disturbance.
There was Anugraha Sandesha, Bannanje Govindacharya SMARANAJALI by Krishnaraja Tantry, Sudhakar Pejavar, Srinivasa Achar and a scholar from Udupi.
There was Naamavali recitation, Bhajans, HARIKATHE by renowned Smt Rukmini Hande from Udupi and her team, Pooja at Lakshmikanth Bhat's house in Sharjah, all co-ordinated and streamed efficiently.
Udaykumar Rao, Shivaram Bhat, Prakash Upadhya and SudhakerRao were the real heroes for presenting the program online.
It must be about 2 o'clock in the afternoon and we (Madhu, Pushpa, Mom and me ) were on the way to Mysuru, to attend wedding Engagement of Preethi, D/O Manohar Rao.
It was Chennapatna, when we were passing, one side of the highway was closed, huge gathering of people on the road side, An open vehicle with people jammed inside, politicians standing in the front, must be C P Yogeshwar, newly appointed Minister in the state cabinet.
There were people standing in the raised trunk of earth mover machine with flowers thrown at the Minister and the party at the vehicle, a huge crane carrying massive garland of apples, further people on the roads bursting crackers.
The sight was festive and celebrations, at the expense of fooling people with corrupt money. I am sure everything was stage managed, to show the popularity of the politicians.
That's the democracy in India, greed for power, loot government funds, and show people that they are popular.
