KanyaKumari, TamilNadu
It was after visiting Suchindrum, Taxi driver took us to sunset point at KanyaKumari. It's about 5 km from the centre of KanyaKumari, which is the meeting point of Tri-Sea, southern most tip of Indian SubContinent, That is, Bay of Bengal, Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean. The confluence of these three seas called "Triveni Sangama", otherwise known as "Cape Comarin"
It was dusty and cloudy, and the view of sunset was not clear. But the beautiful red rays of sun, retiring for the day could be seen amidst the cloud. We spent about 45 minutes on the seashore, lots of people spending time on the rocks and and on the sand.
The next early morning, 5.30 am, we were at the sunrise point, not on the Vivekananda Rock, but on the rocks in between waters of ocean. Lots of people already walking on the rocks, reaching the end point to see the best view of the sunrise. But unfortunately, the sky was not clear and we could only see the sun rays emanating from the clouds and the view was fantastic.
We returned after staying there for one hour and walked back to hotel for breakfast.
