Tuesday, 15th Jan. was in ooru to attend "Uttara Kriya" ceremonies of Saroja, Sripathi Somayaji's wife. Evening was free and after visiting Padmanabha Sahasra at Gundmi (Gumpa), proceeded to Hayagreeva Kalyana Pantapa,Thekkatte, a distance 12 km for watching Yakhagana.

It was just one and half hour Yakshagana, when I reached at 6 pm, it just began and finished by 7.30pm. It was story of Mohini Bhasmasura, and Bhasmasura falling in love with Mohini for her beauty style and posture. Few songs were rendered by Bhagavataru for which Mohini (Neelkodu) did wonderful yakshagana dance. She challenges Bhasmasura to follow her dancing and in the end he fails.
Singing, accompanying on Mridanga, Chande were good.
Short and crisp presentation was commendable.
