SevaSadana, NammaBengaluru.
A superb Mythalogical Kannada Drama was witnessed at SevaSadana, Bengaluru on Saturday.
"SUYODHANA", A two-hour Kannada Drama by Sandhya Kalavidaru, was written and directed by S V Krishna Sharma, known for lateral thinking in the Epics Ramayana and MahaBharatha.
This drama highlights about Dhuryodhana, King of Kuru Family, and Kouravas, fighting Pandavas with the help of Krishna, very clever and cunning mediator in the war of Kurukshetra.
The audience were kept spell-bound by superb acting, dialogues and dialogue delivery with expressions, movements and emotions.
Though Pandavas (Yudhistira, Bhima, Arjuna, Nakula, Sahadeva) were considered on the right side of Dharma and Kouravas on the other side, Suyodhana belittles all the pandavas with the help of Krishna. Shakuni also plays a cunning role in Battle of KuruKshetra. Karna, though being a Pandava, Kunthi's son, abandoned by her, is on Kouravas side with Dhuryodha.
The highlight of the play is teasing and making fun of Pandavas with derogating remarks by Suyodhana, with superb dialogues.
The stage setting, music, lighting are all superb.
It was really mesmerizing two- hour presentation by "Sandhya Kalavidaru"
