It was those days, during our Dubai years, 90's and 2000's, we had like minded group, who used to join together and celebrate New Years. It may be in villa outside Dubai, or a flat, or a resort,
We use to arrive at the venue fixed earlier at around 10 pm, decorate the place, have some games, bhajans or simply catch up with the year's happening. At 12.00 pm sharp, we cut the NewYear cake and greet each other and enjoy with dance.
Fortunately, few of the same group are relocated in Bengaluru or Mysuru and we had a chance for get-together to celebrate welcoming the year 2019.

and we, Jayarama Somayaji and Nalini, settled in Benagluru.
We all reached Bhat's apartment by 10 pm and had snacks, chit chat, fun games and passed time till 12.00 am when it was time to cut the NewYear cake. Mom also prepared a nice cake.
Celebrating, greeting and dancing we all welcomed New Year 2019 and wished each other the very best in their life health and peace for 2019.
Then we had dinner, dance and played some card games and spent time up to 3.00am.
At 3.30pm, we said bye bye to all and reached home at 4.30 in the morning. It was a smooth drive back home, as there were no hassle of traffic.
It was a memorable get-together, remembering past years. Those days children were small, school going and now new generation, married, settled in their work and with family, at different places.

Archana, d/o Usha Suresh, married to Mahesh, lives and works near NewYork, USA have a daughter Nayana.
Deepak, s/o Pushpa Madhu, is Doctor, married to Suchi, living and working in UK, have a daughter
Dinesh, s/o Pushpa Madhu married to Sharmila, living and working in Dubai, have two boys,
Shubha, d/of Asha Vadya Bhat, married to Preetham, living and working in Bengaluru,
Ravikanth, s/o Nalini Jayaram Somayaji, married to Vidya, living and working in Bengaluru,
Rishikanth, s/o Nalini Jayaram Somayaji, unmarried, lives and works in Bengaluru.
So we see, time flies, years pass, we become older generation.
Health, activity and balanced mind is essential for active life.
