The 90 minutes play is hotch-potch of Shakespeare's Othello and traditional Mythalogies from Ramayana and Mahabharatha, like Kaikeyi and Dasharatha, Shakunthala and Dushyantha, Renukadevi, Jamadagni and Parashurama and some more.
It is musical mix of Kannada, English and Tamil, with long dialogues, Hindustani aalaaps, songs and acting.
The whole play is presented by two acclaimed musicians M D Pallavi and Bindumalini Narayana Swamy, directed by Abhishek Mujumdar.
The play is composed of Hindustani, Carnatic and folk music and dialogues.
The play is performed ny Nalanda Art Studio uses multiple traditional Art forms, such as Yakshagana, Harikatha, Yallama Nataka to contemporary forms to narrate the story.
The singing and acting talent of both Pallavi and Bindumalini are amazing. Stage setting, lighting and music are all good.
After the show, it was time for evening tiffin with dose, Dahi Vada, coffee at Pakashala, Jayanagara.
