Shivarama Karantha Vedike organized a Upanyasa by Sri Anandarama Upadhya, about YAKSHAGANA, in TaralaBalu Kendra Granthalaya.
Earlier Sri P. Chandrashekhara Chadaga, Founder of Shivarama Karantha Vedike , welcomed the speaker and the audience and highlighted the Yakshagana as age old coastal Karnataka, Divine performing art.
The program was organized at a short notice and many were present and Sri Anandrama Upadhya is authority on Yakshagana, narrated the origin and growth of the Yakshagana, and Dr Shivarama Karanth gave global exposure to the art and artists.
The program concluded with the felicitation to the Guest, and vote of Thanks by Veerashekhara Swamy, Vice President of the Vedike.
Later at 4 pm, there was YAKSHAGANA - NALA DAMAYANTHI by Suvarna Prasadhana YakshaRanga at the Auditorium.
