MUSIC PROGRAM CARNATIC - RAHUL VELLAL

RAHUL VELLAL - Amazing 11 year old boy, son of Ravishankar-Hema Vellal, is a gifted child. At
the age of 11 year he is performing full two hour Carnatic Classical Music Concert with accompanying Mridanga and Violin. This music comes into veins after years of practice and dedication. Where as children of his age busy playing mobile games, he is seriously and conscientiously practicing with support and guidance of parents.

Ravishankar Vellal happens to be classmate of daughter Shubha Somayaji during their college days.

The concert was organized by Sri Vani Vidya Kala Kendra, as part of their 30 day Sri RamaNavami Sangeethotsava, at Basaveshwaranagara. There was also Veena Concert by Smt. Y G Sreelatha and at 7.30 sharp it was carnatic classical concert by Rahul Vellal.

The melodious voice of Rahul, synchronized with violin and Tabla by the accompanying artist was simply superb. One wonders  how such a young boy performs flawlessly, where audience fully absorbed in enjoying the rendition. Though I am not able to identify the songs and raagas he performed, I was constantly thinking, God's gift to some one, who performs with dedication.

One must agree that the boy has long future ahead and he is going to be one of the great celebrity
