Shivarama Karantha Vedike, organization to promote Kannada Literature, Art and Culture, celebrated its 27th Anniversary with meaningful program lined up for the day.

The program started at 10.30 in morning with invocation by an elderly lady and the guests and speakers for the day was introduced by Gen. Secretary Sri Chandrashekara Chadaga and Smt Deepa Padke. Smt Indira Jambaladinni compered the program.

Sri Eshwara Daithota. journalist by profession spoke about the media is not studying in depth about the issues and print or broadcast them.

Prof. Dr SatyaNarayana, spoke at length about the B M Shree, scholar, speaker, literary person was a gem of person. He could speak on any subject continuously for hours together. He went on speaking about BMShri, when someone had to ask him cut short his speech.
Shri B V Kedilaya spoke about Shivarama Karanth Vedike and contributions of ChandraShekara Chadaga so immense that he thinks about it always.

President of Shivarama Karanth Vedike, Smt. Nirmala Prabhu summarized the speeches in her address and VeeraShekhara Swamy proposed Vote of thanks.

Dr K SatyaNarayana gave Samaaropa Speech, which concluded at 5.30pm
Kannada Drama "USHAHARANA" was presented in the auditorium at 6 pm, which lasted till 7.45pm.

Thus the Vedike celebrated its 27th Anniversary whole day with speeches, movie and Drama.
