A beautiful Kannada drama "USHA HARANA" was presented by NATANA RANGAsHALE, artists Mysuru at TaralaBalu Centre Auditorium at 6 pm.
Young and enthusiastic artists presented the drama with full energy, josh and power. The acting, dances, movements, expressions were all superb.
The story is by ShantaKavi (Sakkari BalaCharya) from Marathi speaking area of Karnataka, written about 150 years ago, when there were agitation about Kannada Language and the state. His drama came to prominence with support of Kannada Language..
The story is about a Princess Usha falls in love with Prince Anirutdh, who comes in her dream and she wants to marry him by all means. Her maid, a very clever and intelligent, plans for the princess to reach his place by some special means and they meet and happy.
The concept, dialogues, music and direction by Dr Sripad Bhat was all good and presentation was also excellent.
The 100 - minutes show was full of high energy, either ShivaParvathi or Banasura with several shoulders, or Narada, especially princess maid acted superbly.
