Veerabhadra DurgaParameshwari Temple, Salekeri, Brahmavara
Navaratri Festival is celebrations all over the place, specially in Devi Temples.
Nine nights of Devi's pooja takes place with all pageantry and programs, decorations, MahaMangalarathi, Annasantarpane and prasada.
As the Covid Scare receeded, people throng to Temples to offer their pooja and get blessings.
One such occasion was CHANDIKA HOMA at our native place, Birthi Salekeri, at the DurgaParameshawari Temple, where my father did pooja for five decades, and I used go with him on special occasions.
It's nostalgia of younger days and life around the village.
There was also grand lunch (Oota), with laddu and payasa.
