TEMPLES VISIT - HERGA & OTHER TEMPLES

Temples Visited:

Number of Temples visited on this day with Nalini, sister Vijayalakshmi, her friend Usha.

1. Sri DurgaParameshwari Temple Herga: The temple is about 12 km from Udupi and a distance of 4 km from Parkala.

Nice old temple, has history of more than thousand years.

Had nice lunch (Oota) with sweets and payasa.

2. PanchaDurgaParameshwari Temple - Indrali, on the way back to Udupi, a beautiful, decorated temple on a small hill and lots of people visiting.

3. Ambalapady Janardhana Swamy, Mahakali Temple -Nice old temple, lot of people visit with dedication and devotion.

4. Bhagavathi Sri DurgaParamenshwari Temple, Putturu. - Celebration for Navratri with Yakshagana for entertainment and a group of local ladies singing Bhajans.

5. Shri Mahishamardini Temple, Neelavara - About 24 km from Udupi, another beautiful temple on the bank of river, decorated for Navaratri Sambrama. After a short visit, dropped Vijayalakshmi and Usha at Brahmavara and proceeded to Garadimane Devi Temple.

6. Devi Temple, Padu Garadimane, Brahmavara. Sister Vanajakshi's Varambally Family sponsoring this year's Navaratri Sambrama, Son's Ramesh and Dinesh taking care.

After pooja and Mangalarathi, it was time for grand feast (Oota)
