Another day of visit to Temples:
1, Sri AnathaPadmanabha Swamy Temple, Perduru.
Perduru is about 30 km from Udupi via Manipal, Hiriadaka.
Nalini's sister Sujatha had a harake (Seve) of sibli banana (ಸಿಬ್ಲಿ ಬಾಳೆಹಣ್ಣು ). A small basket of banana was purchased to Lord Sri AnathaPadmanabha and arthi was performed.
Perduru Sri Ananthapadmanabha Swamy Temple is ancient with more than 1000 years. The temple is famous for devotees offering 1001 bananas to the Deity when their wishes are fulfilled. The festival in the Month of March attracts thousands of devotees.
There is a Pushkarini (water tank) surrounded by steps on all sides, attached to the temple.
After a short visit, we left the place.
