Ooty,(Destiny, The Farm Resort), Mysuru, Rangana Thittu Bird Sanctuary
The trip was apparently to celebrate Rishikanth's Happy Birthday and the idea and planning was from his wife Kavitha.
Day 1 ( Thu 16 Dec )
That was early morning start by car, ETD was 4.30am but eventually got into car and started at 5.45 am.,after having bowl of corn flakes with milk.
Around 7 am we reached Ramanagara Loka Ruchi, Kamath's village style Restaurant.
Idli Vada in the first round dosa in the second round, of course coffee after that.
After around 7.30, started off to Ooty, Via Mysuru, NanjanaGud, GundluPete, a distance about 275 km. The ghat section after Bandipura with about 36 hair pin bends.
The car was checked at the border for E-pass to travel from Karnataka State to TamilNadu, and people in the car were checked for Vaccine Certificate.
The lunch was at "Place to Bee" restaurant with Pasta, Pizza.
We reached the Destiny Farm Resort Parking, a distance of 22 km Avalanchi, aroun 4 pm
We had to get into a Army truck like bus with huge wheels, with our luggage, to our destination Farm Resort, a distance of 4 km, on a slushy, muddy, rocky track, which took about 30 min.
Two rooms written 'ATHARV'S NEST" was booked for us, and we checked in after a welcome drink. Beautiful location and awesome view from the rooms.
After Tea, it was time for walk around, later for Karaoke songs, and then to Camp Fire, fun games. Dinner at the restaurant and then rooms for night's rest.
Day 2, (Friday 17th Dec.)
It was Rishikanth's Happy Birthday, wishes, hugs and greetings.
Morning for horse ride, heavy Breakfast, then walk around the resort. Walk down the valley, fish pond, fake fishing for photos, sheep and goats corner. Weather was sunny and pleasant.
After dinner, chilling, walking down near the lake (not me), then back again for Camp fire, fun and games and dinner at the restaurant with pastries and sweets for Rishikanth's HAPPY BIRTH DAY. (sadly, no cake)
Day 3 (Sat. 18th Dec):
The day was to checkout from the Resort before 12 noon.
After tea, only I went for Abhyanga Body Massage at the Spa, separate building in the resort, overlooking the lake and the hills. After the massage and the shower ,very pleasant feeling of refreshing the nerves and the body.
Mom Rishi Kavitha and the baby went for a natures walk in the resort, experiencing hills and valleys.
After breakfast, they went for Zip-lining and monkey crawling activity and I was just chilling with Atharv.
We checked out from the Resort, reached Car parking in a Jeep, a distance of 4 km.
Packed our bags in the car and started off, only to find out, one of the tyre was punctured.
The tyre was changed and proceeded towards Ooty, on the way getting the punctured tyre repaired. reached A2B (Adyaar Ananda Bhavan) Restaurant and had some eats.
Left from there by 4.30 pm, pass through Gudalooru, among ghat section,amidst tall trees and winding roads.
Reached Mysuru at 8.30 pm, had some light food and went Usha Bopayya apartment at Jayalakshipuram.
Chat for a while and went to bed.
Day 4 (Sun, 19th Dec):
After finishing morning rituals, told bye to Ushacca, photos and left at 8 am to reach famous Mylari Restaurant for Idli and Dosa. The place was small and crowded as they were providing tasty food. Somehow, managed to find place to sit, finished breakfast and left for Chamundi Hills.
Unlike before, there was new multi level Car parking area, went for Darshan of Devi Chamundeshwari. Huge crowd, as it was Sunday, got Rs 100 special darshan ticket, only to find out, there was a long queue for that also. Anyway, we joined the line and it took half an hour to have Darshana and we left there at 12.30 pm
Reached RanganaThittu Bird Sanctuary at SrirangaPatna, a distance of 20 Km. Walked around the premises, went for boat trip to see the birds and crocodiles.It was a 20 minutes ride.
Reached Shivalli Restaurant at Maddooru by 6 pm, had some eats and little shopping.
At 9.30 pm we reached home safely, thus ending a memorable 4-day trip.
