Kaakana Kote, stage play written by Celebrity writer Masti Venkatesh Iyeangar in 1970's and became hit film in 1977.
The story of Kaka Nayaka (Leader) was instrument in stopping the exploitation of tribal peoplein Mysore District, against the tax payment from middlemen who were representing the ruling Kingdom Governement.
The play and film was directed by acclaimed C R Simha.
Now the drama is enacted in the lead role by equally talented son of C R Simha, Ritwik Simha.
It was a nice drama of 2 hours, played at the beautiful backdrop of a forest with tribals living happily.
Songs, dances and Music were very pleasing, dialogue delivery of actors were excellent.
Lighting, stage setting, were also very good.
