VISITING OORU
21 - 26 OCT. 2026
Visiting ooru is always happy ocassion, with attending various functions, visiting temples and visiting friends relations after a long time.
Day 1: Wednesday 21st Oct.
Having left from Bengaluru, the previous evening by Panchaganga Express Train, reached early mornig 4.30 to Udupi station, from there engaged Auto and went to Udyavara.
Udupi Railway Station, 4.30 am
After having beautiful breakfast from Sujatha at Udyavara, went to Birthi, Salekeri.Took Bath and finished pooja at home and went to Garadimane for Chandika Homa and VijayaDashami Pooja at Sri Chandika Durga Devi and grand oota.
Evening at Home, sweet home, relaxed.
Day 2: Thursday, 22 Oct. 2026
Went to Salekeri Sri Durga Parameshwari Temple, donated Saree, had Dasrhana, came home and had lunch.
Evening went to AneGudde Vinayaka Temple for Darshana, and then to Visit Neelavara Surendra Adiga at Manooru, Kota, spent some time.
Came home to Birthi, had dinner and slept.
Day 3: Friday, 23 Oct. 2026
Went to Vijaya's son Putta's home at Udupi, near Paniyadi Temple, had lunch and slept. Evening together with Vijaya and her Husaband, went to Udyavara, had set dosa, dropped Vijayas at Kadiyali and came back home and slept.
Day 4: Saturday, 24th Oct. 2026
Morning after pooja, went to Brahmavar, bought some flowers, fruits. Went to Satyanatha Stores, bought some dresses, came home had lunch.
Evening was "SANGEETHA MAALIKE" in memory of Late Srikanth Somayaji, Music Program and Yakshagana "RATNAVATHI KALYANA".
Owing to fear rain disrupting the program, the same was organized at Salekeri Temple Sabhangana. The progrma follwed by buffette dinner.
Day 5: Sunday, 25th Oct. 2026
Today being Shama's (D/O Abhilasha) PREGNENCY CELEBRATIONS, after Satyanarayana Pooja at Home, felicitaions to SHAMA - ABHIJIT, from relatives, friends and well wishers. There was a large gathering.
After the program, there was grand lunch with Holige, Kajjaya, Haalubai as sweets with other usual items. There were more than 160 people enjoyed the feast.
Fortunately, there was no rain, guests enjoyed the program and the feast.
Day 6: Monday, 26th Oct. 2026
Morning finished bath and pooja at home, proceeded to Udyavara, left the car and went in hired Balakrishn' s car and proceeded to Malla Sri Durgaparameshwari Temple for TULAA BHAARA .
On the way, had nice breakfast prepared at home by Sujatha and Vijaya, Idli, Chutney, Kesari Baath and coffee.
Returned to Mangaluru after visiting Ganapathi Temple at Madhur, AnathaPadmanabha Temple (Crocodile) at Ananthaura, spent some time at Someshwara Beach and came VishalaKeshava Bhat's apartment.
SOMESHWARA BEACH.
The bus to Bengaluru "INTER CITY" was at 10 pm, Keshava Bhat dropped us at boarding point, reached Goruguntepalya, Bengaluru at 4.30 am next day, engaged a Taxi and came Home with Ravi Vidya and Urvi, thus ending pleasant trip to OORU.
