MOOKAJJIYA KANASUGALU - KANNADA MOVIE

Monday, 2nd December 2019
Savitha Theater, Malleshwara, Bengaluru.

Old Savitha Theater, Malleshwara, Bengaluru
To celebrate 50 years for the Jnana Peeta Award winning book written by Dr K. Shivarama Karantha, movie 'MOOKAJJIYA KANASUGALU" (ಮೂಕಜ್ಜಿಯ ಕನಸುಗಳು)  was released.

The movie is directed by P Sheshadri and Smt. B Jayashree in the lead role as Mookajji.

The movie is well directed and acted by all the actors. In the theater we saw, was not clearly visible and most of the picture frames were dark and dull. Don't know whether the film was shot with little light, but the daytime shots might have been brighter. How ever, the movie was very absorbing and we carried on till the end.

Those who have read the book written 50 years ago by Shivarama Karanth, some of the dialogues are still applicable today. Mookajji, 80 years, lost her husband after her early marriage, sits under ashwath tree, and visualizes what's happening around and narrates to her grand son.

When her young age blind friend Tippajji, who lives far away,  dies, Mookajji was there to give her last sacred water.

The movie was mostly shot in coastal Karnataka and uses local dialect and is very impressive.

UDAYAVANI 30/11/2019
The director has effectively brought out some of sensitivities in the rural area, very well.

As the picture was not visible properly, went to same picture second time at INOX Mantri Mall, Malleshwara, paying Rs 270.00 for ticket at 6.50 pm show on Saturday, 7th Dec. 2019.

CHANDRAMOULISHWARA TEMPLE HUBBALLI

Saturday, 30th November 2019
SaiNagara, Hubballi

That evening we went to visit this 900 - year old temple built during Chalukyan Era, on the banks of Unkal Lake, in Hubballi-Dharwad Road.

Lord Shiva is deity of the temple and marvelous sculptures, preserved by Archaeological Survey of India, as it has archaeological importance.

The temple has two big ShivaLingas and two Nandi. One is Chaturmukh Linga which is four faced ShivaLinga and has four doors. The temple has unfinished architecture, most marvelous and spectacular architecture by Chalukyas. It is filled with finished and unfinished artistic carvings which are exemplary work of art. The walls and doors adorn designs of Chalukyan Architecture.

The temple is now surrounded by local inhabitants and the access is difficult. No proper roads, parking facility and the visitors find it hard to reach the place.

The department of tourism can upgrade the infrastructure to attract more visitors.

MUNDINA NILDANA - KANNADA MOVIE

Friday, 29th November 2019
ORION MALL, Namma Bengaluru.

As we have been attending the programs from the launch of the movie, and the teaser release, we decided that we have to go to the FIRST DAY FIRST SHOW of the Kannada Movie "MUNDINA NILDANA"

Dr Suresh Kumar (Govinda), son of my uncle Govind Kedlaya, is one of the producer of the movie, and Vinay Bharadhwaj directed the movie.

There has been lot of build up in the social media and the press.

The movie is short compared  to other blockbuster movies, no unnecessary fighting or romantic scenes and songs. The songs are melodious.

The movie about a boy photographer Partha Srivastav (Praveen Tej)  and two girls,  Art curator Meera (Radhika Narayan) and medical Doctor Ahana Kashyap (Ananya).

About the relationships and marriage, no one willing to commit themselves.

Mundian Nildana (Next Destination) is left to their choice and story ends.

Cinematography, photography, songs, dances and music are just nice and comfortable to watch.

ORION MALL
Senior Actor Dattatri (Dattanna) adds little spice in the beginning.

On the whole it's good movie watch.
