TEMPLE VISIT- NARAHARI PARVATHA - SADASHIVA TEMPLE

Narahari Hills, Near Bantwal, Mangaluru.



It was after the visit to Karinjeshwara Temple, we went to Narahari parvatha. It is located at a distance of 28 km from Mangalore and one has to climb about 80 steps up the hills to rwach the temple. There is also a road to reach the top by car.






Narahari Hills (Parvatha) is surrounded by panoramic scenes and fascinating greeneries. The steps to go up is not difficult. The temple is one of the oldest on the top of the hill and is dedicated to Lord Shiva.


It is believed that Nara and Hari, incarnations of Lord Vishnu were supposed to have performed the penance at this place.There are water ponds atop of the hill in the shape of Shanka, Chakra, Gadha and Padma. They on the rocks and there is always water.




There is also a priest in the temple, who performs seva for the disciples for a fee and gives prasada.

For those who want to visit the place, it's a beautiful hilltop location to spend some time.
