Dr H S VenkateshMoorthy, a renowned writer, poet and more than 100 books to his credit, was celebrating his 75 years and an elaborate program was organized by his fans and HSV Abhinandana Samithi, consisting of Kappanna, Y K MudduKrishna, Lakshmana Rao.

The program began with reading of HSV poems by celebrities like Ravi Belagere, DundiRaj, T N Seetharam and many more. There was also couple of dances presented.

Famous singers Dr B Jayashri, Archana Udupu, Shankar Shanbhoug, Sunitha, Varija, MudduKrishna, Putturu Narasimha Nayak sang HSV poems melodiously.

In the stage program, HSV was felicitated by ChandraShekar Kambara, Narahalli Balasubramnya with shawl, memento and fruit basket. They spoke about HSV's accomplishment, his thinking expressed in his poem.

In reply, Dr. H S VenkateshaMoorthy thanked organizers and fans for organizing the program and appealed to all criticise his writing so that Kannada Literature grow.

There was also nice CD about HSV prepared by his students. The 15 minutes CD displayed contained good wishes by famous people like G Venkatasubbiah, Nissar Ahmed, A R Mitra and many others. It was  well edited and presented.
