Kolar. Karnataka
A short distance from Someshwara Temple at Kolar, there is another a thousand years old temple called Kolaramma Temple. Goddess Parvathi is the main deity, worshiped as Kolaramma.
The temple is built during Chola dynasty rule, and is in South Indian style. with beautifully carved statues and designs using available granite stones.
Another deity of the temple is "Chelamma" or scorpion Goddess, and people believe by praying Chelamma, they will be protected from scorpion bites.
It's about half hour visit, and out from there, we proceeded to our next destination "AntharaGange"
