Chowdiah Memorial Hall, Bengaluru.
True to the meaning of Dance Festival, it was the presentation of different Indian Dances from various parts of India on one platform, stage.
South, North, East,West, all parts, each presentation was unique, had it's own style and originality. May be it is Mohiniattam, Kathak, Alari, Yakshagana or Kathakkali, it has it's own beauty, origin and sophistication in its art form. That's India and it's "DIVERSITY"
Thanks DRUSHTI ARTS FOUNDATION for presenting such a wonderful program for the 15th year.
It is not easy to present such a huge program, as it requires massive preparation, co-ordination and dedicated effort. May be stage management, hospitality of artists, sponsors or compliments to artists and sponsors, everything requires perfect planning and perseverance.
Fifteen Dance forms from various parts of India were presented, each one having time limit of 10 minutes and it became more than 4 hours presentation, including felicitations to artists.
Different Dance forms presented are 1) Harikatha,2) Janapada (Folk) dance, 3) BharathaNatya, 4) Odyssey, 5) Mohiniattam, 6) Satriya, 7) Kuchipudi, 8) Manipuri, 9) Kathakkali, 10) Kathak, 11)BharathaNrutya, 12) Chavu, 13) Yakshagana, 14)KalaripaYattu, 15) Contemporary (Attakkalari)\\
Congratulations to Drushti Arts Foundation for their fantastic program.
There was one "SutraDara", Sharat Prasad, fantastic narration of each dance form, its origin, quoting from Natya Shastra, History connecting the art form to present. His clarity in speech, knowledge and presentation was superb. The person who compared the program was also good.
KUDOS to all who put in their maximum effort.
