MADHUR-MALLAM-MAIPADY VISIT

Madhur, Mallam and Maipady Visits

In the morning we left from Birthi, after bath and pooja, reached Udyavara, had shyavige breakfast and left for Mangaluru by Bus. Met Subramanya and wife at Kottara Chowki and left for visiting places in his car.

1. MADHUR: The place is about 45 km from Mangaluru, towards Kerala and we reach there by 11 am visited Shri Madanantheshwara Siddivinayaka Temple.



The temple complex is completely under renovation and the doors were closed after daily pooja in the morning. We only went round the temple which took about 20 minutes.



2. MALLAM - Next visit was to Mallam, a distance of 25 km from Madhur and the temple is Shri DurgaParameshwari Prasanna and we reached there just before 12.30pm when it was time for MahaMangalarathi.



The place is nice, big and beautiful and lot of people visit the place, as many devotees believe that their wishes will be taken care and they are protected by The Goddess DurgaParameshwari.





We also had lunch there as prasada with rice, rasam, payasa and buttermilk.

3. MAIPADY - About 20 km from Mallam, visited Maipady where there is RajaRajeshwari Temple belonging to Royal Family and their descendants are living there and the place huge yard in front of the temple and structure is solid wooden.






Next to the temple is a big house, closed and gate locked, called Maipady Palace. we only saw it from a distance and we were told that visitors are not allowed. The place has large compound with arecanut tress.


MAIPADY PALACE
After a short stay, we headed back to Mangaluru, Subramanya house at Vamanjooru.

We were to catch the night train to Bengaluru, dinner at Subramnaya's house and he dropped us at Central Railway Station.
