Satyanarayana Pooja through ZOOM
Duabi Brahmana Samaja celebrates Yugadi Festival every year in the month of April to welcome New Year, New Sumvatsara. It was in April 2004, we had the first Sri Satyanaraya Pooja at Dubai. More than 60 families participated and also we had Bhajans, Maha Mangalarathi and grand lunch on banana leaf.
Since then every year, in the month of April, Yugadi Festival is celebrated with Satyanarayana Pooja and grand lunch. After I was relocated to Bengaluru in 2010, pooja and other activities continued with renewed vigor and dedication with the leadership of Sudhaker Rao Pejavar and other members.
This year due to Coronavirus and COVID19 disease spreading, Governments have enforced LOCK DOWN in India and UAE. Hence it was not possible to hold Pooja together.
ZOOM, communication app, able to bring us all together, and participate in Pooja program sitting at home. Shivarama Bhat and Sudhaker Rao in Dubai have managed it very well and we were all beneficiary of the event. There were 57 participants joined.
It was two hour streaming of the event, simultaneously conducted at Laxmikanth Bhat's house in Dubai, Krishnaraja Tantry's house in Udupi, and Sumangali Sudhakar Kandiga's house in Saligrama.
There was pravachana by Pejavara Swamiji at Udupi, speech by Srikanth Bairy about importance of Vishnu Sahasranama from Udupi, Bhajane from Ramachandra Udupa and group from Mandarthi followed by Maha Mangalarathi.
Also there was PANCHANGA SHRAVANA of Sharvari Samvatsara by Krishnaraja Tantry at Udupi.
It was really first of its kind and the credit goes to Sudhaker Rao.
